Privacy Policy

Information handled by PurrFit

PurrFit does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, phone number, or precise location to play the game.

Game progress, completed levels, onboarding status, and similar gameplay preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple-provided storage. PurrFit does not transmit this locally stored game progress to a PurrFit-operated server.

If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and the contents of your message. We use that information only to respond to your request and provide support.

Playable puzzle links

PurrFit uploads challenge data only when you choose to create a playable puzzle link. Playing a Purrtrait, saving a photo, or exporting a reveal video without creating a playable link does not upload your pet photo.

To create the link, PurrFit uploads a compressed copy of the pet photo, the pet name you entered, and an anonymous user identifier. Google Firebase Storage and Firebase Authentication, services provided by Google LLC, process this data on our behalf.

Anyone who receives the link can use it to open and play that specific puzzle. The link should therefore be treated as shareable access to the uploaded photo and puzzle.

The compressed photo and its attached challenge metadata are automatically deleted from Firebase Storage 90 days after upload. A reveal video file is generated on your device and is never uploaded by PurrFit. If you create a playable link while sharing a video, only the compressed source photo and the link data described above are uploaded.

Data uploaded for playable links is used only to create, deliver, protect, and expire the shared puzzle. It is not used for advertising, advertising measurement, or tracking you across apps or websites.

Optional rewarded advertising

PurrFit may offer optional rewarded advertisements. For example, a player may choose to watch an advertisement in exchange for an additional in-game hint.

Watching a rewarded advertisement is optional. Declining or closing an advertisement does not prevent you from continuing to use the normal features of the game.

PurrFit uses Google Mobile Ads, provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements. Depending on your location, privacy choices, device settings, and Google’s advertising configuration, Google Mobile Ads may process information such as:

• Your device’s IP address, which may be used to estimate general or approximate location
• Device or app identifiers
• Advertising data, including advertisements displayed or viewed
• Interactions with advertisements, such as impressions, taps, and video views
• App and SDK performance information
• Crash logs and diagnostic information
• Other product-interaction information used for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, security, and analytics

PurrFit does not directly collect your precise geographic location for advertising.

Consent and privacy choices

Where required by applicable law, PurrFit uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request consent or present applicable privacy choices before requesting advertisements.

Depending on your location, you may be able to:

• Consent to or decline certain advertising-related data processing
• Choose specific advertising purposes or providers
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as those terms may be defined by applicable law
• Withdraw or change a previous consent choice

When required, a Privacy Choices option is available inside PurrFit. You can use it to review or change applicable advertising privacy choices.

The current version of PurrFit does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission for tracking activity across other companies’ apps and websites. If this practice changes, we will update this policy and request permission through Apple’s system before engaging in such tracking.

How information is used

Information processed in connection with PurrFit may be used to:

• Provide and operate the game
• Save gameplay progress locally on your device
• Create and deliver playable puzzle links you request
• Protect shared puzzles from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized changes
• Display optional rewarded advertisements
• Measure advertising performance
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and invalid advertising activity
• Diagnose crashes and technical problems
• Maintain the security and reliability of PurrFit and its service providers
• Respond to support requests

PurrFit does not independently sell personal information to data brokers. Data uploaded for playable links is not used for advertising or advertising tracking.

Legal bases for processing

Where applicable, information may be processed based on your consent, the performance of services you request, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, and maintaining the application.

When processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent through the available Privacy Choices interface. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal.

Data retention and deletion

PurrFit’s locally stored gameplay information remains on your device until it is removed by the app, reset through an available game feature, or deleted when you uninstall the application.

PurrFit does not maintain a conventional player profile or a server-side database of your game progress. Firebase Authentication uses an anonymous user identifier to authorize the optional playable link service.

A compressed photo uploaded for a playable puzzle link, together with its attached pet name, anonymous user identifier, and challenge metadata, is automatically deleted from Firebase Storage 90 days after upload. Reveal video files are not uploaded.

Information processed by Google Mobile Ads is retained according to Google’s policies and applicable legal requirements. You can use the privacy controls offered by Google and the applicable Privacy Choices interface to manage eligible advertising choices.

If you contact us for support, we retain your correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

Children’s privacy

PurrFit is not directed primarily at children

PurrFit is intended for a general audience and is not directed primarily at children under 13. We do not knowingly request or collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Third-party services

PurrFit uses Google Firebase Storage and Firebase Authentication, provided by Google LLC, to operate the optional playable puzzle link feature. Firebase processes the compressed photo, pet name, anonymous user identifier, and challenge metadata described above.

PurrFit also uses Google Mobile Ads as a third-party advertising service. Data uploaded for playable links is not used by PurrFit for advertising or advertising tracking.

Third-party services may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those providers are responsible for applying appropriate legal safeguards to applicable international data transfers.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information associated with PurrFit. However, no internet, advertising, or electronic-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent.

PurrFit does not maintain a conventional player profile or a server-side game progress database. Playable-link data is associated with an anonymous user identifier, so we may need the applicable challenge link or identifier to locate a shared puzzle. Advertising- related requests may also need to be submitted through Google’s privacy controls.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when PurrFit’s features, advertising services, or legal obligations change. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when changes are published.

Material changes may also be communicated through the application or its App Store listing when appropriate.
